The Hofstra|Northwell Medical Legal Partnership (“MLP) is a collaboration between Hofstra Law School and Northwell Health. Together, these organizations advance a patient-centric healthcare delivery model that unites its collective medical, legal, social and academic resources for a high-need, under-resourced populations. The Immigration & Public Assistance Attorney will join a growing, innovative medical clinic-based practice serving low-income patients-clients (and their families) throughout Eastern Queens and Nassau County.
The Immigration & Public Assistance Attorney will maintain a full caseload of medical-legal partnership client representation in the practice areas described below. In addition, the Attorney will co-teach a “law and medicine together practicum course for Hofstra Law School students in the fall and spring semesters and handle casework throughout the year. The Attorney is expected to be on-site at three of Northwell Health’s medical clinics in Nassau and Queens Counties for at least 12 hours per week.
