The Department of Psychology at Portland State University (PSU) has a tenure-track assistant professor position in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a September, 2020 start date. The department has a strong applied research orientation and a doctoral program in Applied Psychology with specializations in Industrial/Organizational, Applied Developmental, Applied Social, Community, and Applied Quantitative Psychology.
Qualifications include a doctoral degree in I/O psychology or a related area. Individuals who have proposed, but not defended their dissertations will be considered but must be awarded their degrees by September 15, 2020. Although the areas of specialization are open, we are particularly interested in candidates who would contribute to our minor in Occupational Health Psychology and/or who have a focus in Industrial Psychology (broadly defined), such as training, selection, or performance management. Candidates appropriate for this position will have an established research and publication record in I/O psychology or evidence of the potential to develop such a research and publication record. The successful candidates will be able to teach graduate- and undergraduate-level overview courses in I/O psychology as well as courses related to the applicants' particular area of expertise. Responsibilities include maintaining a productive program of field-based research, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in I/O and other core psychology courses, supervising graduate student theses and dissertations, and contributing in service to the department, university, and profession. Our I/O faculty and students also work closely with Management faculty in the PSU School of Business.

- Doctorate in Psychology (ABD considered)
