MCPHS University seeks a creative and self-motivated Talent Acquisition Manager, a new role at the University. The Talent Acquisition Manager will focus on developing strategies and implementing new processes to provide MCPHS with a competitive advantage in acquiring diverse talent and one that is aligned with the our culture and values. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of branding and marketing of MCPHS as an employer of choice. The incumbent will also conduct full life-cycle recruiting and create a positive candidate experience. This position is located on our Boston campus and will provide talent expertise for all three MCPHS campuses (Boston, Worcester, Manchester, NH). This successful candidate will be entrepreneurial with their approach to work, have a continuous improvement mindset, influencing skills, project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to operate independently, manage shifting priorities, and be able to build strong relationships. The selected candidate will also have experience developing programs, policies, and processes; full-cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates through creative sourcing techniques to interviewing and hiring great employees; enjoy assessing and streamlining operations; and have fundamental knowledge of best practices for classifying jobs and compensation structures. Responsibilities:Talent Acquisition Establishes and maintains effective relationships with hiring managers by developing an understanding of the academic/business unit and its' needs, by being proactive, accessible and responsive, providing status updates on recruitment activity and pipeline generation Recruits and sources for positions using traditional and creative approaches including but not limited to job postings, internet postings, advertisements, professional networking, sourcing, cold calling, and candidate mining Uses social media sites to promote and create awareness of job openings and actively manages online employer presence across various platforms and outlets Utilizes Applicant Tracking System to create, post, manage requisitions and the recruiting workflow process, and mine for candidates Manages and conducts interview and selection process, including phone screens and in-person interviews serving as first point of contact promoting the University and creating a positive candidate experience Partners with hiring managers to ensure new employees feel welcomed and receive relevant new hire training Advises hiring managers on interviewing techniques, hiring processes, and guidelines including compliance and regulatory requirements Utilizes knowledge about job classifications, job grades, and pay grades to write job descriptions and make appropriate recommendations for staffing needs Builds and maintains skill-based pipelines of both active and passive candidates, ensuring pipeline provides a diverse, highly qualified, interview/selection slate Manages temporary staffing process and monitors and reports on utilization, recommending different strategies to support staffing needs Programs and Initiatives Designs and executes strategic and comprehensive talent acquisition initiatives to effectively identify, attract, qualify, recruit, hire and retain talent to meet current and projected needs of the organization Develops strategies and implements new processes, including systems processes, to enhance recruitment operations Conceives and initiates recruiting programs to attract, select, retain, and enhance a diverse workforce and support workplace diversity goals Partners with Associate Director of Human Resources on internal mobility and succession and development opportunities for identified talent Contributes to the development of branding and marketing MCPHS University as an employer of choice and manages our online employer presencePerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources Management or related discipline; Master?s degree preferred Minimum of 7 years in a Human Resources role, including 5 years recruiting experience, preferably in higher education Must have proven experience developing processes and programs from scratch and the ability to create strategies to recruit for a diverse population Must have fundamental knowledge and experience with writing job descriptions, job classification processes, and compensation structures Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably ICIMS Solid knowledge with employment laws as it relates to recruiting Experience with behavioral interviews and recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt positions Understanding and practical experience in HR policies and procedures Strategic, creative, entrepreneurial and innovative thinking skills, ability to exercise sound judgment Strong ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written form Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, with high level of professionalism and discretionMCPHS offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits that includes a substantial contribution toward the cost of medical & dental insurance, generous time off benefits, and a significant pension plan contribution.
