In the Center for Research and Evaluation on Education and Human Services (CREEHS), the Per Diem Research Assistant will work up to 25 hours per week supporting theÂ day-to-dayÂ activities of the evaluation of a large statewide public health program. The Research Assistant will report to a CREEHS Evaluation Associate.
The Per Diem Research Assistant will conduct a range of evaluation and program support tasks, including but not limited to the following.:
Managing, monitoring, cleaning and validating program data
Assisting with scheduling and collecting evaluation data through surveys, focus groups, interviews, observations and program documentation
Analyzing and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data
Supporting the preparation of evaluation reports and presentations
Working with team members to coordinate multiple project components

Bachelor degree in research/evaluation, public health, education or a related social science field
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in collecting and analyzing data for applied research or evaluation projects
Proficiency managing and summarizing data in Excel and SPSS or other analysis software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Strengths both as a team player and a self-starter
Strong organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of participants in the Centerâ™s work, including personnel in organizations and agencies inside and outside the university, as well as key stakeholders receiving or participating in the programs we support
Quick learner, flexible and willing to learn new ideas, content areas and skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high quality standards
