In the Center for Research and Evaluation on Education and Human Services (CREEHS), the Per Diem Research Assistant will work up to 25 hours per week supporting the evaluation and needs assessment of a large statewide public health program. The Research Assistant will report to a CREEHS Evaluation Associate.
The Per Diem Research Assistant will conduct a range of evaluation and needs assessment tasks, including but not limited to the following.
Pulling, organizing, and managing secondary data at the individual, community and policy levels (e.g., Census)
Assisting with scheduling and collection of primary data through observations, interviews and focus groups
Analyzing and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data
Supporting the preparation of reports, data visualizations, maps and presentations
Working with team members to coordinate multiple project components

Bachelor degree in research/evaluation, public health, education or a related social science field
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in collecting and analyzing data for applied research or evaluation projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of participants in the Centerâ™s work, including personnel in organizations and agencies inside and outside the university, as well as key stakeholders receiving or participating in the programs we support
