Interactive Media Studies: eSports Coach to manage the Esports program, student directors, and interns.
Manage day-to-day communications and contacts with other programs
Serve as the point person with TESPA, AVGL, CSL, CLoL regarding tournaments
Represent Miami eSports at conferences and events as needed
Serve as the head coach of the Varsity Overwatch team
Manage all varsity eSports team captains and analysts
Serve as the overarching strategy coach for the other four varsity teams (League of Legends, Hearthstone, CS:GO and Rocket League), ensuring that their student analyst or captain is receiving proper support
Serve as primary contact with various tournament and competitive bodies, ensuring competition readiness
Lead recruiting efforts
Travel as necessary to manage team during off-campus events
Mediate any disputes between varsity members
Other duties as assigned
Require: Bachelor’s degree; at least one competitive collegiate or competitive season working as a coach or analyst (as an intern, a student team captain/analyst, or paid coach/analyst). The University will not sponsor H1-B for this position.
Desire: Experience with TESPA; experience as a competitive player.
