Position Summary: The University Registrar manages and coordinates the daily operations of the offices of the Registrar for the Wilf, Beren, and Brookdale campuses, and the Ferkauf graduate school on the Resnick campus.
Administer and interpret applicable federal and state laws and regulations and university policies and procedures in the course of official duties
Responsible for the collection, recording, maintenance and reporting of student records within FERPA guidelines, e.g. grades, registration data, transcripts, athletic eligibility and other associated duties
Develop and implement strategic initiatives for the Office of the Registrar in a manner that supports the Universitys Mission Statement, student registration, retention and academic goals
Implement and lead the increased use of technology across the functions of the Office of the Registrar which support automation, outreach and improvement of service to students
Interpret student records and data management policies to students, faculty, staff, parents and other constituencies as needed
Responsible for the departments budget and for making technical upgrade recommendations to keep competitive in a constantly changing office environment
Prepare statistical reports and analyze data on registration for administrative use in formulating policies
Establish and maintain effective communication and cooperative working relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students and/or the public in order to accomplish the objectives of the Office of the Registrar
Develop and/or approve student communication campaigns, website content, marketing, promotional materials and publications related to the Office of the Registrar
Maintain student academic records
Provide official and unofficial transcripts upon request
In conjunction with academic partners, create and maintain University academic calendars
Produce rosters for faculty when necessary and maintain the online system that allows faculty to download their rosters electronically
Work with faculty to reconcile rosters with actual class attendance
Oversee degree auditing and conferral of all degrees offered by the University
Receive class grades from faculty, through both paper and online systems and incorporate the grades into student records; work to eliminate paper grade rosters
Work with the deans to schedule registration dates and timelines
Manage the online and manual components of the registration process
Work with faculty and deans to produce upcoming semester schedules of classes
Work with faculty and deans to produce annual editions of the undergraduate mens and womens catalogs
Assign rooms for each class each semester
Supervise campus registrars ensuring proper office coverage and services to students
Experience & Educational Background:
5-7 years as a senior registrar at a comparable university with demonstrated leadership ability

Knowledge of Banner (SIS), Argos Reports, 25 Live scheduling, and the ability to learn other technological platforms and infrastructures
