The Director of Academic Development and Student Affairs will provide direct oversight for Academic Success and enrichment (CASE), assist the Associate Dean of Student Affairs in carrying out the mission of the Office of Student Affairs, provide consultation to the Dean’s Office (upon request) as it relates to curriculum development issues and optimizing academic achievement, keep abreast of national trends in student development and support as it relates to above. Work with ADSA and Dean's Office to publish and present at national and regional conferences.
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD degree in educational or cognitive psychology with specialization in learning and remediation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience involving the review, analysis and evaluation of academic outcomes assessment is highly desired. Must possess leadership, coaching and team building skills to foster supportive working relationships with students, staff and administration. Must be able to problem solve and make decisions using strategic and analytical thinking skills. Previous experience working with adult learners required; experience in medical education preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) essential. Good knowledge of computer software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 20 lbs.
