The University of Maryland School of Social Work is hiring an MSW Program Support Administrator. This position performs mission critical functions for the MSW program and is needed to manage the complex process of faculty course assignments and the recruitment of a large number of adjunct faculty annually. The selected candidate contributes to significant improvements to teaching training resources and opportunities available to all faculty and improves the MSW program's online communication engagement with and responsiveness to MSW students. This role also analyzes and manages assessment data to facilitate data-driven decision making for program improvement.

Manage and improve the MSW program course scheduling process in communication with the Office of Records and Registration and the Associate Dean for the MSW Program.
Review, disseminate and process feedback from faculty and curriculum committees on draft course schedules
Draft annual communications regarding course scheduling and new course development
Oversee the distribution of initial faculty course assignment letters and act as a liaison with the Office of Human Resources/HR Business Partner to ensure adjunct faculty, and full-time faculty supplemental pays, are processed accurately and efficiently.
Liaison with the Office of Field Education to ensure all faculty who serve as liaisons are assigned student loads.
Maintain a robust adjunct management system that ensures the SSW is recruiting, orienting, evaluating and developing a high quality and committed adjunct workforce.
Process full-time faculty teaching load qualtrics surveys and cross-check with faculty research and administrative duties
Manage faculty workload tracking spreadsheets and course bank
Review adjunct faculty course evaluations in preparation for future course scheduling
Cross-check Dean's teaching awards with faculty evaluations
Manage monthly "Faculty Open Spaces" where faculty come together to share teaching challenges and learn about teaching best practices.
Identify, organize and assess teaching training and programming, particularly in regard to creating inclusive classrooms
Interface with campus experts in the areas of diversity and inclusion to organize teaching training open to all faculty
Organize the annual Advising Open House in collaboration with the Academic Advisor and faculty curriculum committee chairs
Manage Hootsuite social media strategy for student affairs
Develop and work with the Office of Communication or maintain the student homepage
Work with the instructional design and media teams to improve student orientation and integrate state of the art videos and animation into the student homepage
Oversee the operations of the career networking on-line program: handshake
May manage and/or mentor staff in the day-to-day operations for functional area(s) of responsibility and be responsible for hiring and retaining staff, career coaching, professional development, and performance management of direct reports. Ensures work completion within schedule and constraints.
Perform other related duties, such as assisting in special projects and initiatives.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, social work, or related field. Preferred: Master of Social Work or related field is Strongly preferred Experience: Five (5) years of related experience with at least three (3) years in advising faculty/staff regarding research and/or academic affairs issues Other: No substitution of experience for minimum education requirement
The Hiring Range for this position is mid $60,000s to mid $70,000s, commensurate with education and experience.
