0133684 Position Details- The Renal Electrolyte Division in the Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC are seeking outstanding physicians (clinician-educators) at the assistant or associate or full professor level. The Renal Electrolyte Division has built a dynamic team of productive and collaborative physician scientists. Academic appointment and compensation packages are commensurate with professional experience. UPMC is consistently ranked as one of America's Best Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report. The School of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh has an impressive array of research facilities. Primary responsibilities include nephrology inpatient consultation as well as nephrology outpatient care, recruiting and teaching fellows, residents and medical students, and building a research program. Candidates must have an active research interest and a demonstrated research funding record. There will be opportunities for academic growth, career development and mentorship, with protected time for research activities, depending on applicant interests and accomplishments. We have strong basic and clinical research programs, and encourage translational research activities. There are opportunities for leadership roles within our division. Qualified candidates must be: ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified/board eligible in Nephrology; Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania; An active research program and a demonstrated research funding record.
