Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Manager at the Rutgers School of Public Health, Center for Tobacco Studies.
Under the direction of the Center Director, the Research Program Manager is responsible for development and oversight of research activities of the Tobacco Centers of Regulatory Science center grant, as well as coordination of emerging research areas for the Center for Tobacco Studies. This position is 100% grant-funded and located in New Brunswick, NJ.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Serves as the primary liaison between the Rutgers Tobacco Center for Regulatory Science (TCORS) and other federal and academic partners.
Develops and oversees data management systems for primary and secondary data—including oversight of commercial secondary data products and associated user agreements.
Works with faculty in producing manuscripts, presentations, reports and updates for the TCORS based on the primary and secondary data.
Conducts regular meetings, web-conferences, and conference calls among TCORS Partners.
Establishes and maintains a TCORS Basecamp site for utilization by research partners to facilitate project communication and coordination.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Communication, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience with population research.
Experience in the management of large, complex research projects involving multiple institutions and stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Applicant must be Tobacco-free for a minimum of six (6) months.
Must have a working knowledge of tobacco control.
Strong interpersonal and written communications skills.
Must have database skills in Excel or Access.
Ph.D. in Public Health or a related field.
Knowledge of University research office procedures and processes.
Statistical experience in SAS, SPSS, or Stata.
Knowledge of data management systems such as Qualtrics is preferred.
Demonstrates abilities with retail market scanner data.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pds.
Salary: Min $84,145 - Mid - $106,442.00 Max - $128,740
