The Missouri Institute of Mental Health (MIMH), University of Missouri-St. Louis has an opening for an Associate Professor, Research with expertise in statistical methods and data fusion.
Position Summary Provide professional statistical services to MIMH faculty in support of their research activities.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities * Strong quantitative skills. * Expert knowledge of a variety of statistical data analysis software. * Ability to manage the work of others, set priorities, follow-through, ensure deadlines are met, and interact with faculty and students to anticipate needs, understand/interpret requests, and complete projects. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required. * Excellent data visualization ability. * Ability to communicate complex statistical work to a non-statistical audience. * Ability to work discretely with sensitive and confidential data required.
* Ability to plan, complete, and describe basic and advanced data analytics. * Ability to provide quantitative instruction and consulting to diverse constituent groups.
Required Education Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Psychology, or related field.
Required Work Experience 2-5 Years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education, private sector, or non-profit agencies.
Job Duties Serve as key personnel on core research programs including research design, sample size and data considerations to support targeted modeling and hypothesis testing; utilize statistical testing and modeling techniques to analyze research data; advise faculty on the preparation of analysis results for journal articles, conference presentations and various research activities; advise faculty on the application of statistical methods in applied and empirical research; and assist in the management and administration of research datasets.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of MIMH.
Terms of Employment
Full-time, twelve-month renewable contract. This position is reviewed annually and is renewable contingent on the availability of funds and work performance.
The Associate Professor, Research will report directly to Dr. Rob Paul, Director of MIMH.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
No extraordinary physical demands; position requires use of a computer to analyze data, communicate with clients and write reports; some travel will be involved.
