We are searching for an engaged, ambitious and highly competent Program Director for Student Engagement to join our Student Affairs team in Doha, Qatar. This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of highly engaged and dedicated professionals who are passionate about serving our student's needs. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for creating access to compelling and positive opportunities and experiences that enhance the growth and development of undergraduate students, promoting and advancing community involvement, and promoting university citizenship with the goal of supporting the forward-thinking mission to facilitate students' development of self and community.
Other core responsibilities will include:
Managing the coordination of programs and initiatives related to first-year students and their families;
Leading and coordinating the direction of the new student orientation program, including managing the budgeting and marketing;
Crafting and implementing developmentally appropriate programs that include civic engagement initiatives, family events, leadership opportunities and related student travel;
Coordinating the development, oversight and implementation of traditions and hallmark initiatives unique to each class year; and
Cultivating local and global opportunities that champion a deeper sense of global citizenship including developing sustained, local opportunities for civic engagement.

Considerable experience in establishing innovative programs, strategic planning, resource management, and fostering student involvement;

Ability to effectively and actively coordinate and manage the development of a comprehensive portfolio of initiatives that enhance a student centered environment;
Display a global vision, dedication to the welfare of students, an understanding of the unique demands and opportunities of a rigorous curriculum, and a commitment to supporting our multi-cultural students in all realms of their personal and professional development;
Proficiency in working with students, families, faculty, and staff with diverse backgrounds, cultures and ambitions;
Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to provide effective and engaging presentations, workshops, and consultations to faculty, staff, and students; and
Possess a strong capacity for programming and educational outreach;
Ability to work weekend or outside of normal business hours as needed; and
Ability to travel to conference, events, etc. as needed.
This position is for a three (3) year contract with the potential for renewal.

Master's Degree in College Student Development, Higher Education or related field;
Five (5) or more years' experience in Student Affairs, Student Activities, New Student Orientation or related areas; and
Fluency in Arabic or ability to rapidly acquire basic proficiency in Arabic (speaking, reading, and writing) upon hire preferred.
