The Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit provides pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care to adult patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures and studies. The department is open Monday \u2013 Friday 7am-5:30PM and one Sunday per month. The Nurses take mandatory call in the evening until 8:00PM and rotate weekend call.

Department Specific Working Conditions:
Requires ability to push patient in a stretcher around corners throughout the shift.
Requires the ability to ride the Arial tram throughout the day
Requires the willingness to work with High Level Disinfectants.
Requires the ability to work in a dark procedure room.
Requires the flexibility to stay focused and have your assignment changed several times throughout your shift.
Requires weekend and after hours ERCP call and ability to report to work within 30 min of being called \u2013 not required for Resource RN or nurses working .5 FTE or less.
Requires work in fluro room and standing for up to 3 hours wearing lead garments.
Fast paced environment that may ask you to care for up to 15 patients per day.
Ability to move, turn, lift sedated patients using provided safe patient mobilization devices.
