Non-Tenure Stream Faculty Position -- SHRS Department of Physical Therapy
1. Brief statement of duties and responsibilities:
The faculty member will serve as a biostatistician in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Data Center. Primary responsibilities include collaborating with rehabilitation clinician scientists by providing research design and analysis expertise, conducting data analyses on large research projects in the health sciences, and teaching in graduate level research methods courses.
2. Minimum objective qualifications; other desirable qualifications:
This person must: have an earned doctorate degree in biostatistics, statistics, research methodology or related discipline; have classroom teaching experience; have experience in collaborating with clinical and/or translational scientists; have the necessary skills for grant writing and producing peer-reviewed publications; have demonstrated potential for external funding. A minimum of 3 years of substantial statistical/biostatistical/research methodology experience is preferred. Experience working in data coordinating centers or experience with single center or multicenter trials desired. We seek outstanding individuals with a strong commitment to collaborative research and teaching.
3. Rank and/or title; salary range or minimum:
Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor is anticipated, salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
4. Tenure/tenure-stream/non-tenure stream; full/part-time: This is a non-tenure stream, full-time position.
5. Proposed starting date: Fall of 2019.
