The Rutgers School of Public Health employs an innovative, interdisciplinary model, with the aim of improving health locally, domestically and worldwide through a unique blend of public health research, practice, and education. We are seeking a well-established, academic epidemiologist to join us as an Associate Professor or Professor. The ideal candidate will enhance our epidemiological core and complement or deepen our current department strengths, including but not limited to, Cancer, Violence Prevention, Social Determents of Health, Environment/Climate Change, Health Disparities, Occupational Health, Immigration/Migration, Nutrition, LGBTQ Health, Sexual And Reproductive Health.
We seek an individual who has a well-developed extramurally funded research program that Is informed by observational studies, clinical trials, or implementation science, and through the application of innovative methodologies and approaches. The ideal candidate should have a track record of improving population health through scholarship, service, mentorship, and translation and will also actively contribute to our teaching mission using modern pedagogy.
An attractive recruitment package will include a competitive salary and start-up funds. Administrative roles at the Associate Dean level may also be considered.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Successful applicants will have a doctoral degree or equivalent and at least 7 years of post-doctoral relevant experience as well as an established research program supported by extramural federal funding with a demonstrated ability to maintain a funded epidemiological research program.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Successful applicants should also have a demonstrated record of leadership in her/his field as demonstrated by scholarship and national or international impact as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring and evidence of a commitment to diversity.
