Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Medical Services Assistant for the Division of Dermatology at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Medical Services Assistant assists physicians by preparing patient rooms, bringing patients into the clinic room and taking patients health and history information.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Prepares patient and room for minor surgery. Assists in minor surgery.
Performs and records treatments and procedures as assigned by the doctor.
Assists doctor/residents with procedures, dressing, medication administration, (Kenalog injections).
Assists with patient teaching in relation to hygiene and uncomplicated procedures.
Provide phototherapy treatments.
Draws blood and collect specimens for laboratory examination.
Helps maintain the order and cleanliness of the equipment and unit. Cleans and prepares the room for the next patient.
