The Online Admissions Counselor reports to the Associate Director of Online Admissions and is responsible for the recruitment of prospective applicants for Kean Online programs. The Online Admissions Counselor (Professional Services Specialist IV) acts as the initial interview and consultation for new applicants; performs review, evaluation, responsible follow-up service and admission decision-making activities based upon Institutional policy and academic merit; represents the University in a variety of settings; and does related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree; one year of professional experience in an enrollment management area in an institution of higher education or working directly with admissions, student recruitment and retention initiatives in higher education; and a driver’s license valid in the State of New Jersey is required. Experience in an admissions or registrar’s office in an institution of higher education and Datatel Colleague/Ellucian Recruiter experience is preferred. Candidate must have the ability to travel and must be able to lift, handle and transport recruitment materials and equipment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
