The Grantsand Contracts Coordinator performs administrative functions for grantdevelopment; data entry; verification of accuracy; and approvals for Grants andContracts within the College of Health Professions (COHP). This position servesas the College's subject matter expert for the researchers within the collegeand as the liaison with parties external to the college such as the campusresearch office, governmental agencies and private foundations and agencies.This position collaborates with the Dean, the Senior Associate Dean forResearch and Graduate Studies, and the Assistant Dean for Finance andOperations on grants and contracts for the COHP and the departments, in Memphisand Knoxville.
Coordinates grant application submissions including budget preparation and entering documents into the appropriate grant application software.
Assists PIs with budgets and monthly expenditure reports for federal, foundation, and privately sponsored grants and contracts.
Responds to special requests from internal or external stakeholders (e.g. sponsors) on matters relating to the department's grant or contract operations.
Reconciles expenditures monthly for grant accounts.
Reviews expenditures, determines sources of funding, and maintains reconciliation of records and ledgers for federal, foundation, and privately sponsored grants and contracts.
Monitors payments for contracts and maintaining audit trails.
Processes electronic payment of invoices, justification for sole source services through Grants and Contracts, Research Administration, purchasing, and processing electronic requisitions.
Initiates and processes departmental transfer vouchers for grant accounts.
Ensures accuracy and compliance with UT fiscal and research policies, as well as sponsor policies.
Coordinates matters related to grants and contracts, including review, and/or initiating contract review/routing forms through Research Administration or Business and Finance.
Ensures proper preparation and retention of documentation for all grants and contracts.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
