MCPHS University School of Pharmacy, Boston is searching for a full-time,12-month faculty in Pharmaceutical Business and Administrative Sciences at the assistant/associate professor level or higher. MCPHS University is looking for individuals who have a strong commitment to teaching, student engagement, service and research.Responsibilities:Candidates will be expected to: Teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, BS in Health Care Business and graduate programs offered by the School Develop learning objectives for courses taught in order to maximize student achievement Conduct scholarly and peer-reviewed research in area of expertise, preferably complementing departmental research strengths Hold regular weekly office hours and engage students on a one-to-one basis Attend graduate student seminars and direct and mentor graduate student research Participate in honors / summer undergraduate research activities and mentoring of students Serve as a member of departmental, school and university committees Attend departmental, school and university functions Maintain advanced knowledge in their discipline and area of expertiseAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by the Chair / Dean.Rank will be commensurate with education and experience.Qualifications:Required: A terminal degree, such as a Ph.D. in pharmacy related social/administrative sciences or related field, or a PharmD degree with advanced training in a social or administrative science discipline Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desired: Prior experience in teaching in an interdisciplinary modular PharmD curriculum Prior experience with the Blackboard learning management system and ExamSoft assessment system Excellent leadership skillsCandidates with an expertise in Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacoeconomics, or Health Outcomes are encouraged to apply.MCPHS offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits that includes a substantial contribution toward the cost of medical & dental insurance, generous time off benefits, and a significant pension plan contribution.
