The Director of Faculty Development oversees all aspects of the development, implementation, and evaluation of the BU Medical Campus Faculty Development Programs. The Faculty Development Programs aim to foster an inclusive, equitable, and collaborative environment to support all faculty members in advancing their careers and contributing to public health through excellence in education, research, and clinical care. Programs include longitudinal career development and mentoring programs for faculty members focused on: 1. Early career; 2. Mid-career; 3. Women; 4. Under-represented racial and ethnic groups; 5. Narrative writing; and 6. Clinical leadership. In addition, the Director oversees an individual career consultation program, seminar series, and bias reduction training, among other programs.
The Director of Faculty Development may be eligible to apply for a faculty appointment depending on qualifications and experience.
Education: Master's degree required, Doctoral Degree Preferred. 5-8 years of experience. Experience in faculty development or faculty affairs in academic health sciences is highly desirable.
