The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism is currently accepting applications for a full-time, research assistant position. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
Care and maintenance of Research animal colony (mice), including breeding and handling.
Performs experiments according to research protocols and safety guidelines.
Reliably records and reports data with a high degree of accuracy.
Interprets and assists in judging validity of data.
Responsible for successfully completing assigned tasks in a timely manner

Strong interest in learning new protocols and techniques.
Communicates and works well in a team environment.
Experience and knowledge of animal husbandry, handling, and necropsy.
Experience in molecular and cell biology techniques and protocols.
This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
