Qualifications REQUIRED -Demonstrated supervisory experience in billing and collections operations, effectively prioritizing the activities of staff, managing complex workflow and multiple priorities -Knowledge of human resources management policies -Demonstrate organizational skills by prioritizing, delegating and assisting staff as needed -Strong skills in quality customer service, interpersonal skills to manage conflict and collaborate effectively with all constituent groups -Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze and evaluate complex and difficult problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, develop and apply solutions -The ability to ensure mandated Government Payer time limitations are met including filing the quarterly Medicare Balance HCFA 838 Report -Ability to adapt to a constant changing environment with flexibility while maintaining efficiency and accuracy under pressure

Responsibilities The Patient Billing & Collection Supervisor provides direct supervision to Billing Group Support Credit/Refund staff, analyzing and resolving problems, interpreting policies and demonstrating the highest subject matter knowledge regarding credits and refunds. Supervises staff to assure accountability of compliance with departmental goals and objectives are met for HB and PB revenue cycle. Assures credits and refunds are processed timely and ensuring State and Federal guidelines are met. This includes Medicare and Medi-cal Federal timely regulations maintaining and submitting the HCFA 838 Credit report.
