Qualifications REQUIRED -A valid California Registered Nurse License -Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. In addition, Master's Degree required in Nursing or other related field -Minimum of 2 years of current nursing management experience -Minimum of 3 - 5 years of clinical nurse experience in Cardiac, Cath Lab/Hybrid OR / Electrophysiology Lab
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT -Must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends -Must be able to wear lead apron (15 lbs.) for several hours/day -Must have strength enough to assist in lifting patients -Must be able to return to within 30 minutes -THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
Responsibilities The Invasive Cardiovascular Services Nurse Manager reports directly to the Heart & Vascular Center, Director of Clinical Operations and is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities for the Invasive Cardiovascular Services. This individual is the leader and role model for professional practice conducted in the Invasive Cardiovascular Laboratories. This individual has twenty four (24) hour accountability for four (4) Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, two (2) Electrophysiology laboratories, and one Hybrid Operating Room. Responsibilities include patient care management, human resource management, unit budget management, supply and equipment inventory management, quality improvement and professional staff development. In addition, the Invasive Cardiovascular Services Manager is responsible for future planning and performance improvement projects related to the Heart and Vascular Center invasive services programs. The Nurse Manager has the unique combination of clinical, fiscal and management expertise to promote effective and efficient care of the patients in Invasive Cardiovascular Services.
