Posting Summary: The Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development will be assigned to working with youth with an emphasis on programming in the area of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The Agent will focus on youth in Meigs County public schools and youth in after-school programs in limited resource communities. The Agent will also be responsible to the Extension County Director for planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting the 4-H programs. This position will recruit and train volunteers. Program delivery methods used will include site and home visits, phone calls, workshops, after-school programs, newsletters and other media. This position will develop and maintain good public relations with county Extension staff, educational officials, collaborative agencies, program sponsors and elected and appointed officials. This Extension Agent will work with UT/TSU 4-H Specialists to develop and implement programs as well as cooperate with the county staff in planning and implementing educational programs for projects and activities. Performs other related duties as required.
