Northwestern University is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Field Interviewer to provide recruitment and screening support within a study of diverse toddlers and their families on our Chicago campus. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the neighborhoods and communities of Chicago, and will bring a high-energy approach to successfully recruiting research subjects and establishing rapport with diverse families and community-based organizations.
Temporary Job Description: The temporary Field Interviewer position is responsible for identifying locations in the community for participant recruitment, establishing working relationships with these locations, and approaching and screening of potential participants. They provide standard and routine support to research staff which may include word processing, data entry, administering surveys, ordering supplies, greeting visitors, providing information, and/or scheduling events.
Additionally, the temporary Field Interviewer is required to travel to sites in neighborhoods and communities to locate potential participants.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience on a research study with human participants.
Experience recruiting participants
Experience working with confidential information;
Strong communication skills;
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail;
Diligent and can work independently;
Flexibility, adaptability in a fast paced environment.
MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
