The Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR) is seeking an individual to assist in the creation and production process from concept through completion of video assets for the Vice President for Research (VPR). The position will work with VPR leadership to create video and graphic communications assets. The position generates creative visual content through video capture, editing, graphic creation, motion graphics, coloring, and post-production work for high-profile IU research and VPR priority projects. Assignments may include video feature production, photo galleries for internal newsletters, client video projects, social media video assets, creation of graphics as well as generation of material for branding initiatives as identified by the Research office. The incumbent will work closely with the Research communications team in the production of products mentioned above.
Note: The individual in this position will work 15 to 20 hours per week. Employment start date is fall semester, 2019. Employment end date is end of fall semester, with option to extend to spring semester.
Strong multimedia skills (video/audio/photo/graphics) and an ear for interesting stories. Keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Experience with video storytelling, experience with animation, web content management systems, Adobe Creative Suite, social media strategy, and graphic design.
