Department Name: 40832:Laboratory Animal Resources
Supervises daily cage wash or animal husbandry activities ensuring 100% adequate & appropriate coverage for all operations. Monitors that activities are completed accurately & on time by physically verifying, at the end of current shift, that daily scheduled work has been properly completed. Ensures that DLAR & investigator’s staff adhere to all UK, local, state, &/or Federal rules & regulations & that all actions are completed by strictly & consistently following applicable DLAR SOPs including safety procedures & guidelines. Supports other operational areas as requested by senior management. Provides, on a rotational basis, after-hour coverage for husbandry related issues.

Required Related Experience:
Required License/Registration/Certification :
BA/BS in relevant field, 5 years animal husbandry (laboratory animal husbandry preferred); AALAS certification at LATg level and valid state driver’s license if driving animal transportation van.
