This IT Specialist position will be serving the students, faculty, and staff of the School of Engineering and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. This position will report to Director of Science and Engineering Node Service (SENS), but is expected to be self-motivating and capable of prioritizing and completing tasks with minimal supervision. Must also be able to collaborate and cooperate with other staff on projects. Microsoft Windows user and system support. Macintosh user and system support. This position requires excellent customer service skills, an ability to describe problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical clients. The position also requires working well with peers, collaborating on new projects, new approaches to existing procedures and policies, and evolving technologies. We are particularly looking for candidates with strong interpersonal skills who can operate effectively in a diverse community of students, staff and faculty, and who share our vision of helping all constituents realize their full potential.
