Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Support Specialist for the department of Pathology at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Director of Residency/Fellowship Programs, plans, organizes, coordinates day-to-day activities related to the Residency and Fellowship Programs in the department.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Coordinates all resident recruitment and hiring processes for the Residency Program; including use of the electronic Residency Matching Service, the National Resident Matching Program according to the Graduate Medical Education office standards. This includes applicant file completion, interview scheduling, and assistance with the ranking and match process as well as the organization and management of new resident orientation.
Coordinates all resident recruitment and hiring processes for the Fellowship Programs; interview scheduling organization and management of new fellow orientation. Prepares and maintains policy and procedure manual for the Residency & Fellowship Training Programs.
Prepares and maintains all academic and administrative records on resident physicians both past and current, including, but not limited to all correspondence, evaluations, and portfolio items.
Monitors and tracks resident progress with all assignments and duties and reports this information to the Residency Director or her/his designee.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field plus two (2) years of related experience, including graduate medical education, as a residency coordinator or experience as a medical student coordinator or fellowship coordinator, preferred.
Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Proficiency with software programs including Word, Excel Access, ERAS (Electronic Residency Application System) and the National Residency Matching Program.

Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements.
