Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Program Coordinator II for Rutgers Business School (RBS) in New Brunswick. Reporting to the Director of Special Projects. The Program Coordinator II provides support and assistance in the logistics and administration of Special Projects at RBS Newark and New Brunswick. Focuses on creating and administering activities, events, projects and/or processes that tracks and improves the student engagement and experience. The duties of the Program Coordinator II includes but not limited to; -Interfaces with and provides routine and non-routine information and explanation to students. -Creates informational materials and periodical reports. -Provides supporting research, analysis and data. -Maintains files, databases, and filing system. -Assists in the management of student workers including their schedules and daily tasks. -Assists in accounting and information technology. -Arranges meetings and associated logistics, provides information and assists in related event and project planning. -Prepares all RIAS purchases relating to events and projects. -Assists with senior review; verifies student engagement expectation requirements have been met. -Travel between campuses is required For more information please visit: http://www.business.rutgers.edu/
Minimum Education and Experience:
-Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of college academic and student affairs, office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation and bookkeeping.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Requires demonstrated data entry/word-processing/typing skills and working knowledge and the ability to use basic spreadsheet, word-processing, database software, and/or email. -Must be able to communicate effectively. Must have effective client service skills. -Good working knowledge of Microsoft office, including troubleshooting workflow issues. -Must be capable of working independently and maintain a positive demeanor in a fast-paced office environment interacting with staff, students and alums. -Must have experience with mail merges and email merges, along with mass informational mailings. Must have attention to detail.
-Bachelor's degree. -Experience with student engagement platforms, and working with student organizations. -RIAS experience in the following categories are a plus: purchase orders, check requests, journal entries, cash transmittals, internal purchase orders, blanket orders, change orders and supplies requests.
