Position overview: The Associate Director, Network Engagement is charged with five fundamental responsibilities: supporting the Director, Global Alumni Engagement in the effort to expand and enhance the HIL Advisor Network and our capacities to support HIL alumni and select Harvard alumni entrepreneurs locally and around the world; managing the day-to-day activities associated with the management of the HIL Advisor Network; working with the Director, Alumni Network Engagement and the Director of Advising to develop and implement a best-in-class Mentor Program; taking the lead on the effective implementation of supporting technologies and protocols that will allow Network Engagement programs to scale; and providing whatever support is needed to realize HIL alumni and Harvard alumni entrepreneur program implementation.
Job Mission: Help to build the breadth and depth of the HIL ecosystem, ensuring mutual value exchange.
Actively participate in the development of the Network Engagement annual department plan that supports the overall Strategic Plan tactical priorities while ensuring consistent progress of the department's function and value
Work with the Director, Global Alumni Engagement to better recruit, curate, engage and measure the Harvard Innovation Labs Advisor Network, a network of almost 200 volunteer advisors (Experts-in-Residence, Mentors, Functional Specialists, PIC Judges, etc.) who volunteer their time in support of Harvard student (and alumni) entrepreneurs
Develop and implement a best-in-class Mentor Program in support of all venture teams (i-lab, LLX and Life Lab)
Support the implementation of a Harvard Innovation Labs alumni engagement plan that establishes opportunities for value exchange, e.g. alumni provide value back, the Harvard Innovation Labs provide value to
Guide the tactical development of Network Engagement systems and protocols to ensure consistency of delivery and the capacity to scale/expand to other locations
Work with Tech Dev to build supportive database systems and performance dashboards, including survey and data gathering mechanisms
Work with Advising to ensure that Founder.Net or equivalent is being utilized and valued by current ventures and/or alumni ventures
Work with Marketing on an as needed basis to provide communications support that helps achieve recruitment and engagement targets
Other Tasks and Accountabilities:
Work with Advising to develop topic and frequency appropriate events that generate high NPS scores
Develop and implement communications to all members via weekly newsletters and other TBD mechanisms – create support collateral as needed working with Marketing

The I-lab which is a
BA/BS required. 7+ years of related experience.
The desired candidate would have the following experience:
MBA or Masters preferred
Experience working in a university setting preferred
The position requires solid project and people management competencies, a high level of organization and deadline orientation as well as problem-solving skills.
The ability to work occasional extra hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet deadlines and oversee and/or attend events
Agility, gravitas, and high EQ are valued attributes
Solid PowerPoint and Excel skills required; comfortable with new technologies
