The Harvard Business Analytics Program is a new partnership between Harvard Business School (HBS), the Harvard Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS). Read more about the program here: https://analytics.hbs.edu/. We are looking for a creative, solutions-oriented individual to fill the role of Online Learning Manager.
The Online Learning Manager for the Harvard Business Analytics Program will provide direct course delivery support to program faculty across all forms of academic programming (asynchronous LMS interactions, synchronous session moderation and coordination, intensive seminar support, and participation in on-campus immersions).
NOTE: This position is a fully benefits-eligible term appointment ending June 30, 2020, with the possibility of renewal.
Work with program faculty and support staff on the design and delivery of synchronous and asynchronous online course content.
Act as operational lead for implementation of various program activities (projects, simulations, learning team facilitation and moderation, immersion delivery).
Assist in the iteration of program content.
Develop new activities based on student feedback, and expanded technical affordances.
Evaluate student performance and academic standing according to course-specific standards and program norms.
Identify course delivery issues; and liaise with third-party vendor to assist in the design and delivery of solutions.
In order to best serve student needs, propose and implement new instructional policies, procedures, or program offerings.
Liaise with HBS Online Program Services team to maintain program-level registrar documentation.
Follow existing course delivery processes and recommend improvements as opportunities arise.
Work with teaching assistants, faculty, and other partners, to address student concerns regarding instructional content and program services.
Maintain a flexed schedule in order to be present for regular evening class sessions (approx. 5pm to 7:30 pm start time); and occasional weekend immersion events.
Assist Program team in evaluation and reporting processes.
Work on special projects associated with the scaling and growth of this new program.

Minimum of five years related professional experience
Degree or certification in a related field preferred
Experience working with faculty in a college/university setting.
Ability to work consistently and constructively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
University level teaching or other related instructional experience preferred.
Blended, online, and/ or massive open online course (MOOC) learning knowledge and experience preferred.
Proven ability to operate effectively in a complex environment.
Proven ability use creative problem-solving, and troubleshoot issues in a timely fashion as they arise.
Advanced desktop application skills (e.g., Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint), productivity tools (e.g., BaseCamp, Google Drive, DropBox).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and project management skills.
