Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Job Summary: The Admissions Representative for Transfer Recruitment is responsible for the evaluation and admission of transfer applicants. This position travels to transfer recruitment events and assists in freshman recruitment processing and events.
Additional Department Summary: This position serves as the representative for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in the recruitment of Transfer Students. Provides leadership in identifying & enrolling undergraduate students. Serves as primary contact for transfer recruitment, coordinates recruiting efforts and identifies prospective qualified undergraduate students.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one (1) year of experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: The ability to travel alone out of town, sometimes overnight. This position will require some evening and weekend work. Requires the capability to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry large quantities of sometimes heavy recruitment materials. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers and standard application software (word processing, spreadsheet and/or database management programs). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must have an interest in working with prospective college students and their families; the ability to work with different cultures and groups of people.
