The Director of Housing is responsible for the leadership and management of the university's 1,090-bed student residence hall, which includes a variety of townhouses, apartment-style and traditional corridor-style buildings. This includes administration, programming, policies, communications, services, personnel, and creating an atmosphere in housing that supports Pitt-Bradford's brand promise and strategic plan. Works cooperatively with other departments to provide overall operational efficiency, planning and facilities management for the housing program. Performs significant amount of administrative decision-making and strategic planning. Responsible for areas that include fiscal oversight and administration of the housing contract, departmental policies, implementation of housing registration and move-in arrival logistics. Manages housing application, contract revisions and conducts room assignment processes. Provides on-call coverage on some evenings and weekends. Oversees summer conference housing.
Master's degree, as well as strong administrative (including mathematical/financial), supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must have three to five years' experience in residence life and housing; the professional experience must be post-master's degree in a substantial or equivalent full-time position. Outstanding people skills and ability to explain and enforce university policy.
