The Statistical Analyst position will support diverse cancer-related research projects involving several large and complex data sets and several collaborating groups, conducted by investigators in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. The Statistical Analyst A position will use standard SAS and other programming skills to create analytical datasets from electronic medical record data, clinical trials, and other quantitative databases to construct and standardize outcome measures and other analytical variables through data cleaning, data manipulation, and data harmonization; perform and support analyses utilizing statistical approaches; to provide descriptive and analytical reports; Â and to perform specialized statistical analyses. In addition to these tasks, Statistical Analyst B will employ advanced techniques to merge different datasets and create analytic files from relational and other complex data sources. For Statistical Analyst A or B, prior experience working with electronic medical record data including data abstraction, management, and chart review is needed. Strong teamwork and communication skills are also required to support multiple projects led by individual investigators. Position is contingent on continued funding.
Statistical Analyst A: Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years or equivalent combination of years and experience required.
Statistical Analyst B: Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years or equivalent combination of years and experience required. Master's Degree preferred.
