The Post-Doctoral Associate will work with Dr. Xiaotong Shen (http://www.stat.umn/~xshen and Dr. Wei Pan http://www.biostat.umn.edu/~weip/) and their collaborators within and outside the University of Minnesota. The position involves comparing, verifying and reconciling data to help the School achieve overall research objectives.
Job duties include:
50% Perform study data collection and entry and computational analyses.
25% Monitor implementation, management, coordination, and documentation of all study activities.
25% Ensure that components of the project are completed in an ethically, scientifically, and rigorous and timely manner.
This annually renewable appointment is for two years with a possible third year, conditional on satisfactory performance and funding availability.
The School of Statistics at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a full-time Post-Doctoral Associate, to begin fall semester 2019 (August 26, 2019).
Appointment will be 100% time.
The position requires a PhD with at least 2 years of experience in statistical learning and high-dimensional data analysis. In addition, the candidate must have a strong background in computing and programming/coding, as evidenced by publications in top statistics and machine-learning journals like the Journal of American Statistical Association or Journal of Machine Learning Research.
