Description IT Technology Services accomplishes planning and implementation activities to provide applications, hardware and software systems serving the Health System's needs in both institutional requirements and technical capabilities. Provide administration, and support for large-scale advanced health system spanning different classification levels that currently supports 15,000+ users. This position does require design, engineering of certain storage infrastructures. The team works in a dynamic environment, on critical, high-visibility technology platforms.

Qualifications REQUIRED -Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. -Minimum 10 years' experience designing, implementing, and supporting SAN and NAS disk array solutions. -Minimum 5 years' experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise scale backup systems. -Expert knowledge in design and administration of IBM Spectrum Protect / IBM Tivoli Storage Manager. -Extensive experience with NDMP, CIFS, NFS, deduplication and compression. -Extensive knowledge of SAN and NAS constructs (LUNs, Aggregation, Volume / Filesystem, Replication, Snapshots, QTrees / Virtual Volumes). -Extensive knowledge of large database performance and storage integration. -Knowledge on installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of NetApp, Hitachi storage systems, Brocade, QLogic, and Cisco storage networking gear (Ethernet and fibre channel). -Strong knowledge of the performance boundaries of physical disks (spinning and flash) and the measures taken by storage system vendors to compensate.
PREFERRED -Knowledge of tiers of data and technology to implement effective tiering policies. -Knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols. -Knowledge of replication requirements for effective disaster recovery. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Strong problem solving skills. -Experience delivering effective presentations to all levels of management, including the senior executive level. -Industry certifications in storage and backup technologies (specifically Hitachi Data Systems, Network Appliance, and IBM Spectrum Protect/TSM).

Responsibilities The Senior Backup Administrator ( Systems Administrator 4) will provide services in the area of backup and recovery as well as enterprise data storage management for the entire organization.
Under direction, the Senior Backup Administrator will function as a resource and expert in all data storage needs and complex architectures required by mission critical applications for the Health System.
