Qualifications REQUIRED -Minimum of 1 year of experience working on a longitudinal study of children at risk for neurodevelopmental disorders -Experience organizing, preparing and cleaning materials for study visits according to a set protocol -Experience managing behavior and overseeing children both with neurodevelopmental disorders and typical development in an unstructured setting -Experience performing behavioral scoring -Demonstrated ability to perform detail oriented tasks with a high degree of accuracy -Experience tracking and entering data in ACCESS -Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously -Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part if a team -Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced setting with composure, courtesy, and professional attitude -Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the public, participants, PI's, post doctoral fellows and students

Responsibilities The Laboratory Assistant II assists with assessment visits. Prepares the room and assembles equipment required for the visit, operates camera during the visit as needed, cleans and sterilizes equipment as required. Communicates instructions to study participants regarding a variety of study related issues, answers questions as they arise, and obtains informed consent for study participation. Associated tasks include coordinating the flow of study visits between multiple staff members, administering and scoring questionaires and performing eye tracking procedures, assisting with collection of participant vitals and anthropomorphic measurements, and entering information in an ACCESS database to track visits, study procedures and enter behavioral data. This position is currently funded for one year. Continuation of the position beyond one year is dependent on future research funding.
