Qualifications REQUIRED -Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record. -Knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty areas. -Knowledge of controlled technology, clinical workflows, user interface optimization, clinical decision support, rules development, data integration and mining, and adoption of technology. -Knowledge of all relevant clinical Informatics software and technology, and the complex concepts, principles, policies, methodologies, and industry standards arid practices involved with patient care and electronic medical data management at UC Davis Health.
PREFERRED -Current certification In Epic Inpatient or EpicCare Ambulatory. -Bachelor's degree in clinical healthcare field (Information Systems, Nursing, MLT, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, etc.) or equivalent. Master's degree. -Over three years in healthcare clinical practice environment and/or experience with healthcare information systems. -Academic institution or large integrated health system experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT -Required to pass Epic certification exam within 6 months after hire (If not already certified In an Epic module). -Must be able to travel to Wisconsin to attend Epic certification training sessions. -Must be able to work overtime and/or flexible hours as needed to meet committed project dates. -THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
Responsibilities The Clinical Applications Supervisor 2 is responsible for leadership functions and activities related to IT systems training, deployment processes, and educational program design. This includes analyzing, designing and Implementing education for specific processes in the EMR as well as non-Epic applications.
The Clinical Applications Supervisor 2 will supervise a team of lead instructors to convert staff to new software applications by defining system training requirements, audience logistics, and operational training needs. The Clinical Applications Supervisor 2 also program manages operational (new hire) and on-going initiatives training and communication.
