Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesThe Card Office Coordinator will provide effective and efficient customer service to students, employees, and the campus community. This position interacts with external clients such as vendors, contractors, and the general public regarding card related issues.
Maintain all door access plans as well as coordinate troubleshooting with the appropriate internal CIS personnel and external vendors.
Meal Plan administration, which includes coordinating with internal CIS support, and Vassar dining services to configure, maintain and assign meal plans. Provide first level support to any questions or concerns from students or parents. Coordinate troubleshooting with the appropriate internal CIS personnel and external vendors.
Respond to and assist in the resolution of all Card Office service requests.
Assist in the creation, distribution, and troubleshooting of ID cards, including coordinating with multiple external vendors such as campus vending and laundry services.
Provide Dining Services support for continuous operation of point of sale (cash registers), financial tenders, off-campus merchants, and our online Card Office.
Assist in financial reporting for the Card Office.
Attend meetings as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, good judgment, discretion, resourcefulness, and professionalism, as well as a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality are required. Must be able to work as part of a closely knit team as well as to work independently. Strong competencies in written and verbal communications, including a clear and positive telephone manner, is required. Strong organizational skills are required, as is the ability to successfully execute multiple tasks within deadlines. Excellent computer skills, and the ability to demonstrate proven proficiency and expertise in Microsoft Excel will be required. Knowledge of various email and communication platforms is also required including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Google. Must be skilled in handling detailed work, and follow established procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious work relations with Faculty, staff, and students.
