Working Title: Student Services Program Manager III (Working Title: Assistant Director of Residence Life--Business Operations and Facilities)

This position is a 12-month, full-time academic staff appointment, reporting to the Director of Residence Life.
The Assistant Director of Residence Life-Business Operations and Facilities is an integral senior member of the Residence Life leadership team. The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the residence hall business operations such as contract administration, occupancy management, customer service, and communication. Additionally, the Assistant Director is responsible for oversight of residence hall facilities management and services, including custodial services, technology, facility maintenance, and capital planning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Business, or related field
At least 3 years post-Master's fulltime experience or 5 years post-Bachelor's experience in Residence Life
Experience related to management of residence hall facilities, maintenance, and planning
Experience training and supervising students and/or professional staff
Understanding of Residence Life business operations including occupancy management, policy development and implementation, customer service, and student recruitment and retention
Ability to provide leadership, direction, and management for initiatives and projects, as demonstrated with effective decision-making, organizational, and task-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work with a diverse population of students, parents, faculty, staff, and other members of the community
Experience working with StarRez or similar housing management software system
Experience working with departmental budget planning and expenditures
Understanding of legal issues regarding student housing, including the Americans with Disabilities Act
Ability to use MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
