The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Dean and Department Head, but will work closely with the Director of Career and Certification and the Director of Culinary and Hospitality, as well as assisting with other directors within the department. The ideal candidate must be reliable, punctual, organized, and have a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities in a very busy school setting as well as:
Maintain student files and correspondence with various programs.
Update student handbooks, informational session and orientation materials.
Develop and maintain product inventory databases.
Assist with clinic activities and client database.
Assist directors with communicating and scheduling guest speakers, site visits, simulation activities, and mock interviews.
Assist directors in managing externship agreements and advisory boards.
Assist directors in creating and implementing new programming related to labor market demands.
Assist in tracking program progress and developing community resources.
Must be able to integrate and synthesize information from multiple sources.
Must be able to meet deadlines.
Will assist in marketing and recruiting students.

Direct Reports: N/A The coordinator will be expected to exercise sound judgment and independence while assisting with related activities that support non-credit programs in Durham and Orange Counties. The position must demonstrate a strong commitment to quality customer service, applying excellent problem solving and communication skills.
