This position supports students’ academic endeavors. The Director of Academic Success will lead the Academic Success Team and will monitor all student progress in addition to providing accommodations for disability support.
Masters degree in counseling, education, or other relevant field. Minimum 3 years counseling/advising experience. Ability to assist students with study skills and implement educational programs for students. Ability to effectively use counseling skills in a variety of situations. Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently. Excellent communication skills and ability to compose, proofread and edit various communications and prepare and give presentation to students and faculty. Skilled at organization and presentation of data using critical thinking skills to analyze and make recommendations based on data. Ability to maintain strictest standards regarding confidentiality of all student information. Experience in Student Affairs management of student issues.
Experience in a medical school environment is desired. Experience with disability testing desired.
