The vision of the Adolescent Health Initiative (AHI) is to transform the health care landscape to optimize adolescent and young adult health and well-being. We are looking for an experienced Program Coordinator to help us achieve this vision. This position will focus on data analysis and program evaluation related to AHI’s delivery of adolescent health trainings, resources, and capacity-building models with health care providers, health professionals, and community organizations around the country. This position will facilitate the implementation of AHI’s Adolescent-Centered Environment Assessment Process with primary care, school-based health, and specialty care health centers. AHI will provide on-the-job training, but an ideal candidate should have experience working with excel, Microsoft Access and/or other data management systems and have experience with or knowledge of adolescent health. The Program Coordinator should possess strong organizational and communication skills and enjoy working as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team and shares the AHI values of Collaboration, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Expertise, Innovation, Quality, and Responsiveness.
Assist in the development, delivery, and evaluation of trainings, services, and program resources
Work as the team’s lead in organizing and managing program evaluation data utilizing survey software.
Facilitate AHI’s Adolescent-Centered Environment assessment with health centers nationally to improve policies, practices, and services for adolescent patients
Provide coaching and capacity building assistance to health professionals on adolescent-centered care
Assist with data collection, evaluation, and grant reports
Develop and present trainings and presentations, including travel to 3-5 out of state trainings or conferences per year
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in health education, public health, social work, health care administration or related field
1-3 years of experience working in a community-based organization, school, health department or other health care setting
1-3 years of experience working in data and evaluation
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to participate in national travel 3-5 times per year
Master’s degree in health education, public health, social work, health care administration or related field
Training or experience in adolescent primary care, sexual health, mental health or positive youth development
Training or experience using Motivational Interviewing or other coaching techniques
Experience providing technical assistance to health care providers or other customers
Experience delivering trainings or presenting at conferences
Experience working with diverse communities
Experience with data collection, evaluation, or quality improvement initiatives
Microsoft Office Suite expertise including Access and Excel
