Administrative Support and Office Management Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Engagement, this position supports the work and implementation of the Office of Student Engagement at Harvard College. This position is responsible for support of strategic goals, policies and procedures. This position will coordinate the operations and logistics for the Office of Student Engagement and the Associate Dean for Student Engagement. This will include the administrative details for Harvard College student organization recognition process, event registration and licensing.
The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support to the Associate Dean of Student Engagement, and serves as a welcoming, outward-facing presence for the office suite. This position will also support the communication and overall office management related to department.
This position will coordinate all meeting materials, and logistics for the Associate Dean of Student Engagement, the Office of Student Engagement; and the Undergraduate Council new student organization recognition process.
This position also provides administrative support to the staff of the Office of Student Engagement as needed and responds to a variety of routine inquiries from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and family members.
Financial Management The Coordinator works closely with all appropriate staff to coordinate all processes related to student organization internal gift accounts, endowment funds, distribution of student funds, and banking requirements. The Coordinator will also work to manage departmental budgets and the management and reconciliation of University purchasing cards.
Communication The Coordinator supports the work of the office through the use of office email accounts, student organization databases, online platforms, and websites. Reviews all office publications including necessary webpage updates: coordinates office communications by identifying times and topics for communication.
All formal written offers will be made by FAS Human Resources. Finalists will be required to complete computer and written skills testing.

3+years of work experience in office administration experience is required preferably in higher education.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior work experience working with multi-layered interoffice processes preferred. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, handle confidential information and act with discretion and tact under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, organizational abilities and attentiveness to detail are essential. Must be able to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, student centered, dynamic environment. Candidate should also demonstrate an interest in engaging with highly motivated college students. Candidates with a strong understanding of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Harvard College will be given preference. Advanced computer skills (high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required), experience updating web pages, and proven editing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
