Reporting to the Assistant Director of Financial Aid for the Social Sciences in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Provides a variety of administrative support duties, including correspondence, maintaining files, updating data base records, production of reports, as well as edits and updates financial aid forms, publications, and other materials. Serves as information liaison to graduate students, staff, applicants, and twenty social science departments regarding admissions and financial aid policies, procedures and other program information. Researches and refers questions as necessary. Assists in producing components of the admissions packets for social sciences. Provides general support as needed to other areas of admissions and financial aid, including some phone coverage at the reception desk. Related job duties as required.

College background with at least two years' work experience in an office environment.
B.A. preferred with three years related office experience. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Highly positive customer service attitude with ability to interact professionally with a variety of constituents. Ability to handle a high volume of complex tasks and projects within deadlines is essential. Ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities; must work independently and as a team player. Solid understanding of financial principles; proven experience working with financial issues; meticulous attention to detail. Strong computer skills required; knowledge of Harvard or FAS a plus.
