ECTC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to be part of our facilities team on our Springfield Campus. The purpose of this position is to support the ECTC mission by maintaining the day-to-day operations, delivering routine maintenance, and providing a safe and clean environment, as well as assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the college.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoots and performs corrective maintenance on all utility systems including electrical circuits, motor controls, and HVAC.
Performs corrective maintenance on plumbing fixtures and piping.
Performs basic carpentry skills
Repairs and replaces light bulbs and other electrical components in equipment rooms and in general building maintenance.
Seasonal grounds keeping to include: mowing, weeding, trimming, snow and ice removal.
Room set up- moving furniture.
High School/GED, and two years related experience or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds
Available to work flexible weekday or weekend shifts.
Ability to work effectively on a team
Ability to effectively communicate using auditory and visual methods,
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical demands primarily include walking or standing, using fingers, hands, and arms to reach, and regular stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
