This position will provide support for the business and fiscal aspects of the University, including accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Prepare and update various financial reports.
Monitor, research, report on, and reconcile account fiscal activity.
Prepare, create, and review accounting transactions including disbursements, cash receipts, vouchers, journal entries, and requisitions. Provide assistance to staff with similar functions.
Understand and communicate fiscal policies and procedures and provide on-going guidance and monitoring of compliance.
Provide financial process and systems training and on-going support for department fiscal staff and faculty.
Maintain training manuals and other procedural materials.
Assist in the coordination and preparation of budgets, including reporting and analysis.
Calculate and distribute funding resources.
Assist with variance analysis and forecasts of payroll and overall financial results.
Report on and analyze fund activity and balances. Work with department heads, faculty, and staff to resolve issues.
Coordinate and assemble information in response to periodic inventories of assets.
Other ad hoc projects and reports as necessary.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting
Experience of at least two years in an accounting or budgeting environment
Ability to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, & Word
Experience working with automated financial systems
Proven success in handling multiple duties in a fast-paced environment
Ability to consistently meet deadlines
Discretion with sensitive data is required
Must be team-oriented to succeed in this position
Excellent organization skills
Strong analytical abilities

$16.92 - $20.25 / hr commensurate with experience and education
