Provides highly skilled, original and creative graphics for the production of publications and electronic communication media. The position requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment creating visual concepts, by hand or using computer software. The position will work closely with other Planning and Geographic Information Systems staff. It includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos.
Responsibilities will address a wide variety of topics including the mapping, analysis and design of: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Forecasting, Multi Modal, Aeronautics, Safety, and Freight systems. Tasks will range from presentation design and documentation to brochures and multi chapter regional plans.
The position holder will develop maps, graphics, illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand using the appropriate colors and layouts, and when needed, help shape and maintain a "look" for the department.
